What is Mathyard?
Mathyard is a curriculum-aligned maths worksheet generator for students and teachers. Choose your curriculum, stage, and subject area and Mathyard generates a set of multiple-choice questions instantly — ready to use on-screen as a quiz or downloaded as a PDF.
Which curricula does Mathyard support?
Mathyard currently supports the Australian Curriculum (NSW), the UK National Curriculum, and the US Common Core. More curricula are being added over time. The curriculum is detected automatically from your timezone but can be changed at any time from the top of the page.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. You can generate one worksheet as a guest without creating an account. After that, a free account is required to continue. Signing up takes less than a minute and is completely free.
What is the difference between Free and Plus?
Free accounts can generate up to 3 worksheets per day, access Stages 1–5 (Grade K–10), and take on-screen quizzes. Plus unlocks unlimited generations, all stages including Stage 6 (Years 11–12), PDF downloads with answer sheets, and the ability to combine multiple subject areas in a single worksheet.
How are the questions generated?
Questions are generated by an AI model that has been given detailed instructions about the specific curriculum stage and subject area. Each question is validated automatically — for example, triangle questions are checked for geometric consistency and duplicate answer options are rejected before the worksheet is shown to you.
Are the questions always correct?
Mathyard includes several automatic checks to catch common errors, but AI-generated content can occasionally contain mistakes. We recommend teachers review worksheets before distributing them to a class. If you spot a problem with a question you can flag it for review using the flag checkbox in the review screen.
How do I take a quiz on-screen?
After generating a worksheet, the questions appear as an interactive quiz. Answer each question by selecting one of the four options, then navigate between subject area pages. When you finish, you get a score breakdown and can review every question with the correct answer and a step-by-step explanation.
How does the PDF download work?
Clicking Download as PDF produces a formatted A4 PDF instantly in your browser — no waiting for a server to process it. The Questions Only option gives a clean student worksheet. The Questions with Answer Sheet option (Plus) appends a full answer and explanation page at the end.
What does Stage 6 cover?
Stage 6 covers Years 11–12 (HSC level) for the Australian Curriculum and includes Mathematics Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2 subject areas. It is available to Plus subscribers.
Can I use Mathyard in a classroom?
Yes. Mathyard is designed with classrooms in mind. Each student's browser gets its own independent guest session, so a room full of students can all try the free tier without interfering with each other. Teachers with a Plus account can generate unlimited worksheets across all stages.
How do I cancel my Plus subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page. Click Manage on the Plus plan card to open the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges and your Plus access continues until the end of the current billing period.
